Just the fact that we consider TC the very best file manager out there indicates that we follow a comparison approach. Do you think that Christian doesn't follow a little research on other file managers when thinking of a new feature? I think he does and it's the right approach, IMHO. TC actually is based on another file manager as an idea and you can find this info in the help file of TC (including its name). As always he is very open-minded and he said or "clearly implied" that comparing TC with other file managers and discussing about other file managers is accepted in the forum as it can lead to improving TC itself. Christian has already expressed his opinion on posting similar info for other file managers but I cannot remember if it was on the old forum or this one.
